On June 25 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), fromis_9 unveiled their sixth mini-album, ‘From Our 20’s’, along with the music video for ‘LIKE YOU BETTER’.
The title track, ‘LIKE YOU BETTER’, perfectly captures the essence of summer romance with its airy synths, upbeat guitar rhythms, and energetic chorus. This release marks a significant moment, as it’s their first comeback as a five-member group under a new label, ASND, and showcases their bright and refreshing sound. The six-track album offers an honest glimpse into the members’ personal journeys and emotions during their twenties.
Among the album’s diverse B-sides, ‘REBELUTIONAL’ stands out as a powerful anthem about embracing life’s challenges with confidence, while ‘Love=Disaster’ delivers a high-teen punk rock vibe. Park Ji Won contributed to the writing and composition of ‘Strawberry Mimosa’, a song that compares the excitement of falling in love to a cocktail. Meanwhile, Song Ha Young wrote and composed ‘Twisted Love’, which explores the paradoxical feelings of love. The album concludes with ‘Merry Go Round’, a hopeful song about unwavering togetherness through life’s ups and downs.
Originally a nine-member group, the group currently consists of Lee Na Gyung, Lee Chae Young, Park Ji Won, Baek Ji Heon, and Song Ha Young.
The group is also set to embark on the 2025 fromis_9 WORLD TOUR ‘NOW TOMORROW’ with a two-day concert in Seoul on August 9–10.
