EXO’s Xiumin is Set to Play The Lead Role in Hadestown Musical + More Cast Revealed

A Fantastic Cast List!

The celebrated Musical Show, Hadestown, is coming to Korea and has announced their main cast list.

Hadestown reinterprets a version of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, where Orpheus goes to the underworld to rescue his fiancée, Eurydice. It’s a musical adaptation of singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell’s concept album, ‘Hadestown’.

This musical has won numerous awards including the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

EXO ’s Xiumin will be playing the lead role ‘Orpheus.’ Xiumin made his musical theatre debut in January 2015, playing the character of Aquila in the SM Entertainment musical ‘School OZ’. He also took part in the military musical during his mandatory military service.

Other cast of the Musical includes Kang Hong Seok, Ji Hyun-joon besides others. Here’s another teaser Image!

The musical is set to be produced by S&Co. and it set to premiere on 24th August, 2021 at the LG Art Center in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

S&Co specializes in the performance production, investment, and distribution of domestic and international performances in Korea. It has also produced the Korean tours like The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, The Lion King, Wicked, and School of Rock. Their work on The Phantom of the Opera and Cats in Korea is also being featured in the upcoming Dori Berinstein-Sammi Cannold documentary “The Show Must Go On.”
