On September 6, 2024, EXO’s Baekhyun made a huge splash with his new mini album ‘Hello, World,’ and it has been a massive hit. The album started incredibly, selling over 893,214 copies on its first day. This number blew past the first-week sales record of his 2021 mini album ‘Bambi,’ which sold 868,840 copies. By the end of the first week, Hanteo Chart revealed that ‘Hello, World’ had sold an amazing 1,096,995 copies, making it Baekhyun’s first solo album to reach the million-seller milestone in just one week.

This achievement is a big deal because Baekhyun is the first K-Pop solo artist to have more than one album hit over a million sales on the Hanteo Chart. His previous albums, ‘Delight‘ and ‘Bambi,’ also reached this milestone, so ‘Hello, World’ is his third album to do so. It’s also the fastest album he’s had to reach this record in just a week, showing just how much his fans support him.
The success of ‘Hello, World’ goes beyond just impressive sales figures. The album debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes World Albums chart in 36 countries, including places like India, Malaysia, Argentina, and the Philippines. The lead single, ‘Pineapple Slice,’ has also been a huge hit, topping the iTunes charts in 24 regions, such as Thailand, Costa Rica, and Ecuador.
This album was a major moment for Baekhyun, especially after he left SM Entertainment and started his own agency, INB100. With ‘Hello, World,’ Baekhyun is showing that he’s still a major force in the K-Pop industry.
‘Hello, World’ features six tracks: ‘Pineapple Slice,’ ‘Good Morning,’ ‘Rendez-Vous,’ ‘Cold Heart,’ ‘Woo,’ and ‘Truth Be Told.’ Each song highlights Baekhyun’s musical range and growth as an artist.
