EXCLUSIVE: K-Pop Group cignature Makes A Comeback With ‘Sweet But Saltie’

K-Pop girl group cignature dropped their 5th Extended Playlist (EP) ‘Sweetie but Saltie‘ on May 10. With four new tracks, cignature’s ‘Sweetie but Saltie’ is a perfect summer pop album.

The title track of the EP is ‘풍덩 (Poongdung)‘ which captures the summer vibes while also expressing the feelings of someone falling in love without holding themselves back. Their track ‘I like I like‘ has English and Korean versions and explores the feeling of confirming a person’s feelings, even though it is obvious to the people around them. While the Korean version of the song focuses on the innocence of falling in love for the first time and realizing those feelings, the English version is a more casual conversation of sharing one’s feelings with friends. The last track, ‘Melody’ is cignature’s reflection on their past, present, and future, as well as their sincere resolutions regarding music.

cignature is a seven-member girl group comprising Chaesol, Jeewon, Seline, Chloe, Belle, Semi, and Dohee. Belle has been inactive in the group since her participation in the survival reality show ‘Universe Ticket’ and her subsequent debut in the group, UNIS. The group debuted in February 2020 with the single ‘Nun Nu Nan Na‘.
