Coldplay X BTS Collaborative Single ‘My Universe’ Is Out

‘My Universe,’ a much-anticipated collaboration between K-Pop group BTS and Coldplay has been finally unveiled.

The single, which will be a part of Coldplay’s 9th regular album, ‘Music of Spheres,’ is composed and written by Coldplay and BTS. The single has lyrics written in both Korean and English. Produced by Max Martin who has worked with different artists like Britney Spears and Ariana Grande, the song is a beautiful masterpiece with touching lyrics.

‘My Universe’ speaks about breaking the prejudices in the world regarding the boundaries that restrict people from being together. The strong lyrics along with the music provide infinite love, support and comfort. In times of pandemic when collaboration between artists from different nations are done virtually, Chris Martin personally visited the HYBE office building in April and recorded ‘My Universe’ with BTS.

BTS also visited the band and presented them with modern Hanboks, during their visit to New York as Presidential Envoys.

Another beautiful venture by ‘ARMYs’ and ‘Coldplayers’ was the creation of ‘Our Universe Project’, which aimed to donate food to the people of Afghanistan. The fans donated more than 10,000 meals within a week of its start Even the non-profit organization ‘One Tree Planted’ partnered with Coldplay to plant one tree for every CD bought from the official store.

BTS and Coldplay have been known to be fans of each other’s work. Even after facing numerous discriminations and being blocked multiple times, BTS has been successful in entering the American and European pop markets and even dominating them. Their music has been at the forefront always emphasizing the messages of peace, equality and freedom.
