According to Sports Kyunghyang, Stone Music Entertainment home to many popular artists like g.o.d’s Son Ho Young, SG Wannabe’s Kim Yong Jun and Kim Jin Ho, Davichi, Eric Nam, Roy Kim, and TO1, has applied to shut down its business on April 8. As news broke out, a source related to CJ ENM said, “CJ ENM is working on reorganizing its sub-labels for efficiency.” and further confirmed, “We have liquidated Stone Music. We have done so to heighten efficiency in management and provide more effective services to our artists. Stone Music will continue to operate as a music distribution brand.”
So far it’s presumed that the artists will join new labels, and we await information regarding the same. CJ ENM’s sub-labels include AOMG, H1GHR Music, MMO Entertainment, Swing Entertainment, and Off The Record Entertainment. This is a developing story and we await more news.
