Cha Eun Woo may soon be stepping away from the spotlight to fulfill his mandatory military service.
On May 9 KST, Cha Eun Woo’s agency, Fantagio, announced that the ASTRO member has officially applied to join the Army’s military band and recently completed his interview for the position as part of his mandatory military service.
Fantagio stated, “Cha Eun Woo applied for the Army’s military band and has completed his interview. The results will be announced on May 29, so it’s difficult to provide further details as we do not yet know if he has been accepted.”
Applications for the military band were accepted by the Military Manpower Administration in March and April, with interviews conducted on May 9. If selected, Cha Eun Woo is expected to begin his service in July.
Known for his talent both on screen and on stage, Cha Eun Woo has built a strong following through his roles in dramas like ‘True Beauty’, ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty’, and ‘A Good Day to Be a Dog’. Meanwhile, he is actively working on the new Netflix series ‘The Wonder Fools’.
Additionally, ASTRO members, along with former member Rocky, are gearing up for their tour, ‘The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy],’ starting on June 7 and 8 for two consecutive nights at Incheon Inspire Arena.
His potential enlistment in the military band reflects not only a commitment to his national duty but also a desire to continue sharing his musical skills during service.
