Cha Eun Woo Announces the Date of His Military Enlistment
On May 29, Fantagio officially announced that ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo will begin his mandatory military service this summer. The singer and actor has been accepted into the Army Military Band and is scheduled to enlist on July 28.
Earlier this month, reports stated that Cha Eun Woo had applied to join the military band and was awaiting the results. With today’s announcement from his agency, fans now have confirmation of his acceptance and upcoming enlistment.
Fantagio shared the following statement:
Hello.
This is Fantagio.We would like to express our gratitude to the AROHA who always send unwavering love to ASTRO, and we have an important announcement regarding our artist Cha Eun Woo’s military enlistment.
Recently, Cha Eun Woo applied to join the Army Military Band and received a final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration today. He will enter the training center on July 28 and undergo basic military training before fulfilling his duty in the Army Military Band.
To prevent safety accidents due to congestion on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Cha Eun Woo’s enlistment will be kept private, and there will be no separate events held.
We ask for your unsparing support and warm encouragement for Cha Eun Woo as he diligently fulfills his military duty and returns in good health.

Cha Eun Woo, known for his work on screen and stage, is currently filming the Netflix series ‘The Wonder Fools’. He will join his group and former ASTRO member Rocky for ‘The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy]’ concert, set to take place on June 7 and 8 at the Incheon Inspire Arena. On June 18, he will also release his first VR concert, ‘CHA EUN-WOO VR CONCERT: MEMORIES’, at CGV Yongsan and CGV Yeonnam in Korea.
As he steps away temporarily from his entertainment activities to fulfill his national duty, many are already looking forward to his return.
