Catch The Young has dropped a remake of the 90s hit song ‘You, Always’.
On January 22, Korean band Catch The Young released a remake of ‘You, Always’ (넌 언제나), which was originally released in the 90s by the Korean band Mono. Catch The Young’s version of the song infuses the timeless hit with the band’s youthful energy and showcases their expertise in songwriting and arrangement. By staying true to the essence of the original, Catch The Young pays homage to the classic while confidently highlighting their musical artistry. Fans were treated to an early performance of ‘You, Always (2025)’ during the band’s solo concert, ‘Loud and Proud,’ held at Rolling Hall in Seoul on January 17. To build anticipation for the release, the group also released a teaser video on their official social media accounts on January 21, showcasing the members playing together and sending cheerful energy in a dreamy background.
“‘You, Always’ is a hit track by Mono, released in 1993. We thought this song would be perfect for Catch The Young as we have the goal to play music that can resonate with all generations. In addition, we wanted to work on a song that all listeners, ranging from K-pop fans of the 21st century to people who love the nostalgic music of the 90s, can enjoy together.”
– Sani, Bassist, and Leader of Catch The Young
The original version of ‘You, Always’ from the 90s is rooted in the New Wave genre and features prominent synthesizers, but Catch The Young has reimagined the track with a fresh perspective that bridges the past and present. Every band member contributed to the arrangement, infusing their signature sound and youthful energy while preserving the emotional depth of the original song. Park Jung Won, the composer of the classic track and a member of Mono, expressed his hopes that this remake would help Catch The Young reach a wider audience and further demonstrate their musical talent and creativity. With this release, the band is kicking off the new year by sharing a song that radiates warmth and embodies their distinct artistic identity.
“I was excited and happy throughout the whole process of working on “You, Always (2025)” because the original version was very widely loved. I hope you’ll find more charms of Catch The Young through this single, and we look forward to showing great live performances of this song.”
