Spotify India is officially available for download and their launch video featured BTS!
After several years of anticipation the music streaming application has finally made its entry into India. The application is available as a free (or a premium) download on iOS and Android.
The company introduced their application through a series of launch videos titled ‘Hello Spotify India‘ which featured several artists making shout-outs to their Indian fans. The line up included both International and Indian artists – The Chainsmokers, Armaan Malik, Neha Kakkar, Katy Perry, Badshah, Neha Kakkar, Zedd, Selena Gomez and more.
But what immediately caught the attention of K-Pop fans (especially ARMYs) was the inclusion of BTS! Fans were ecstatic to be recognized by their favourite artists.
Leader RM began with an Indian rendition of their usual greeting – “Namaste! We are BTS!” – with the rest of the boys joining in to cheer “BTS!”
RM went on to say – “Congratulations for launching in India. I’m so happy to reach our ARMY there. Make sure you follow [us] on Spotify and listen to all our music, right now.”
BTS’ part of the video ended with RM saying “India!” and maknae Jungkook adding “Right now!”
