BTS has officially announced the name of their long-awaited 5th album!
On January 16 at midnight KST, BIGHIT MUSIC officially unveiled the name of BTS’ 5th album titled ‘ARIRANG,’ via Weverse. The album features a total of 14 tracks and is inspired by the famous Korean folk song ‘Arirang’. The album reflects BTS’s roots, identity, and the deep emotions they wish to share with fans worldwide.

In addition, BTS revealed extensive physical release details. The album ‘ARIRANG’ will be available in more than 16 physical versions, including the Living legend edition, standard editions, themed versions, Weverse Albums version, Travel Tag CD Box Set, and a wide range of vinyl releases representing each member.
‘ARIRANG’ interpreted as ‘my beloved one’ reflects the group’s true identity and feelings they wish to share with their fans. Known for their sincerity and honest storytelling, BTS once again concentrate on personal experience and heartfelt messages in their music. By combining their cultural origins with themes that resonate globally, the group will aim to create an album that connects deeply with listeners across the globe.
Additionally, BTS shared a 37 second soundbyte, a message to ARMY called ‘ARMYRANG’ on Apple Music. In the message, BTS greeted fans with their iconic greeting “Here we are – BTS!”. RM starts by saying “We are so excited to share our new album, ‘ARIRANG’. Jin continues, “This album reflects the combination of our journey to date as BTS”, followed by Suga’s, “And it also defines us on our own terms”, while jhope said, “We’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time”. Jimin noted, “And we prepared this album thinking of our fans”, V added, “Every track has a unique story and vibes, so we hope you enjoy all of them”, and Jungkook closed by saying, “Thank you for always being by our side. You’re our biggest inspiration. Thank You!”.
Following the album release, BTS will embark on a world tour beginning on April 9 at Goyang Stadium, Seoul. The tour will be covering a total of 34 cities with 79 shows, featuring large-scale stadium performances and immersive 360-degree state production. More shows are expected to be announced soon.
Pre-orders for the album started on January 16 at 11 PM KST (7:30 AM IST). BTS’ 5th Album ‘ARIRANG’ is set to release on March 20, at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST).
