BTS’ Jungkook sets a new record!
On March 22 KST, BIGHIT MUSIC shared exciting updates, announcing that BTS’ Jungkook’s track ‘Seven featuring Latto’ surpassed 500 million views on YouTube at approximately 3:53 AM KST (12:23 AM IST), making it the first debut music video by a male K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone.
Released on July 14, 2023, ‘Seven’ quickly became a massive hit, breaking multiple records and further cementing Jungkook’s global presence as a solo artist. In just a year and eight months, the track’s success has continued to grow, solidifying his influence in the industry.
Additionally, ‘Seven’ has been officially BRIT certified Gold for surpassing 400,000 sales units in the UK, becoming the first and only debut song by a K-pop artist to attain this recognition. With this accomplishment, Jungkook continues to break barriers, further establishing his impact on both the K-pop industry and the global music scene.
Jungkook is currently serving his mandatory military duty after enlisting on December 12, 2023. He is set to be discharged later this year and continue his musical journey with BTS.
