BTS’ Jin Drops His Second Solo Album ‘Echo’
On May 16 at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST), BTS’ Jin officially released his highly anticipated second mini album, ‘Echo’, along with the music video for the title track, ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’.
‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ is a soothing, medium-tempo pop song that captures the emotional distance between lovers growing apart. Jin delivers the track with heartfelt vocals and subtle vulnerability. The music video, filmed across scenic locations in Singapore, marks Jin’s first dramatized role and stars actress Shin Se Kyung. Together, they portray a couple slowly losing their shared memories, reflecting the song’s themes of love, fading connection, and the passage of time. Jin’s understated yet expressive acting adds new depth to the story and marks a significant milestone in his artistic journey.
Apart from the title track, ‘Echo’ features six additional songs that explore a blend of pop and rock influences. Tracks like ‘Nothing Without Your Love’ and ‘Loser’ (feat. YENA) reflect on heartbreak and vulnerability, while ‘Rope It’ and ‘With the Clouds’ bring a more experimental edge. ‘Background’ and ‘To Me, Today’ close the album with introspective messages, touching on themes of identity, growth, and self-compassion.
With ‘Echo’, Jin opens a new chapter in his musical journey, showcasing his growth as both a vocalist and a storyteller. The album’s warm tones and emotional depth highlight his unique ability to turn simple moments into something deeply moving.
