The wait is over as Jimin of BTS has returned with his second solo album ‘MUSE’. With seven tracks and an MV for the title track ‘WHO’, Jimin delights his fans with fresh concepts, unique styles and new music. The album and the music video of the title track were released on July 19, 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST).
The tracks on the album include ‘Rebirth (Intro), ‘Interlude: Showtime’, ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)’, ‘Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson), ‘Be Mine’, ‘Who’, and ‘Closer Than This’. A central theme of love runs across the songs as Jimin presents the feeling with unique styles in his songs. The artist has participated in writing all the songs except ‘Who’, showcasing his eagerness to connect with his fans, ARMY through music.
The album starts with ‘Rebirth (Intro)’ which establishes Jimin’s quest for real love, special love. A sincere passion for love exudes from this song, giving a smooth entry into the album.
‘Interlude: Showtime’ raises the spirits high with the upbeat tunes of a marching band. Jimin’s gleeful welcome through this track takes the listeners to the next song, ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)’. The track feels like a cheerful, happy bubble of joy which Jimin gifts to his dearest ARMY. Korean rapper Loco’s part in the songs adds the perfect zing to Jimin’s message of togetherness and love for his fans. The song and its music video were pre-released on June 28 at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST). Fans’ love for the song has led to it winning top spots on iTunes charts worldwide as well as the first place at M Countdown twice.
The next song on the album, ‘Slow Dance ft. Sofia Carson’ includes beats with a feel-good vibe. The Jazz touch, the vocals and the dreamy love of the track make the listeners “give into the tempo of our favourite song” as the lyrics say. American actress and singer Sofia Carson features in this song and compliments the feel of the song well.

‘Be Mine’ holds a groovy vibe with Latin guitars and Afrobeat tunes woven into the song. A beautiful ensemble of melodies and instruments along with Jimin’s soft vocals are the highlights of this track.
The title track ‘Who’ encapsulates Jimin’s musical search for the one who his heart is waiting for. The song is from the hip hop R&B genre consisting of striking acoustic guitar tunes and an energetic vibe. The retro aesthetics of the music video and Jimin’s singing help listeners explore the artist’s special love for whom he is willing to cross all boundaries.

The album ends with ‘Closer than this’, an admiration-filled message from Jimin to ARMY. On December 22, 2 PM KST (10:30 AM IST), this song was released along with a music video. The song is reminiscent of the beautiful journey of BTS and the ARMY. As Jimin thinks of ARMY and his group members, he promises that “it’s only a small comma in our story” till he and the other members return from military service. Through this song, he asks ARMY to wait for happy moments with him with lyrics such as “until the days tinge purple once again”.
Jimin’s solo album has managed to win the hearts of ARMY yet again with the fans showcasing their love across social media platforms. Members RM and j-hope cheered for Jimin’s new album on their Instagram handles.
Jimin is also set to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on July 22. He will be showing a special performance of the title track ‘Who’ on the show.
