On March 28, BIGHIT announced that BTS member Jimin’s solo track ‘Who,’ the title track from his second album, ‘MUSE,’ has received Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). According to the RIAJ, ‘Who’ surpassed 50 million cumulative streams in February, earning Gold certification. This marks Jimin’s first-ever Gold certification for streaming as a soloist in Japan.

Previously, Jimin earned Gold certifications for BTS unit songs like ‘Dimple’ (with Jin, V, and Jungkook from ‘LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer’) and ‘Friends’ (his duet with V from ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’). However, this is the first time he has achieved this milestone with a solo track, making it even more special.
Released in July 2024, ‘Who’ is an English hip-hop R&B song about missing someone you’ve never met. ‘Who’ remained on Billboard’s Hot 100 for 33 weeks, the longest for a K-pop solo song, while ‘MUSE’ stayed on the Billboard 200 for 34 weeks, setting a record for a Korean soloist.
With this milestone, Jimin further cements his global influence as a top K-pop soloist. He is currently serving in the military and will be discharged in June 2025.
Congratulations to Jimin!
