BTS officially announced their long-anticipated comeback!
On January 1, BIGHIT MUSIC officially confirmed the date of BTS’ full-group comeback. The announcement signals the full group’s return to activities after a three-year and nine-month hiatus following the release of their anthology album ‘Proof’ in June 2022. BTS had paused group activities while fulfilling mandatory military service. With all members having completed their service by June 2025, the group is now reunited and preparing to embark on its next chapter.
BTS shared the news in a personal way by mailing prints of handwritten New Year greetings from the members, along with messages expressing their gratitude for fans’ continued support. The letters were physically sent to ARMY Gold members and clearly included the date “2026.03.20,” confirming the release schedule for the upcoming album.
In the heartfelt letters, RM wrote, “waiting for (this comeback) more than anyone else,” Jin wrote, “I’ve greeted you as a solo artist over the past two years, and now I finally get to greet you again as part of the team.” Jungkook wrote, “ My heart has always been the same. I’ll keep doing my best, just as I always have.” V wrote to fans, “In 2026, we’ll make even more and even better memories together, so please look forward to it.” While Jimin and jhope described 2026 as “the year we finally meet again.” And SUGA closed with the message: “Let’s have a joyful year together.”
Following the album’s March release, BTS is set to embark on a world tour. Additional details about the album and upcoming activities are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
