Park Bom recently made her long-awaited comeback and has been enjoying success with the single which is produced by Brave Brothers and features Sandara Park.
During an interview, producer Brave Brothers revealed that he actually wrote the song for 2NE1 about twelve years ago in 2007. He had written the piano line for the song before the quartet made their debut and 2NE1 even recorded their voices to go with it. The piano line was rearranged to become Park Bom’s title track and he described it as a unique experience. He added – “It’s amazing that I never gave that piano line away to anyone, and it’s amazing that I was able to work with Park Bom again.”
He also revealed his gratitude to Sandara Park for her enthusiastic particpation revealing that she had a different schedule on the music video filming day so she drove herself to the set early in the morning. The producer also commented on hearing that the two singers teared up after hearing ‘Spring‘ for the first time – “They shed tears because they were overwhelmed by memories of their past together.”
Brave Brothers also spoke about an incident that occured soon after the teaser for ‘Spring‘ was revealed. He shared that she was actually more moved when her first teaser video came out. He said – “She called me and she was sobbing. I thought something had happened but she explained that she was crying because she was so grateful that her teaser was released. She said she was both sorry and grateful to her fans. Hearing that made me think about just how much she had wanted to sing all these years. She knows how good her voice is, how much must she have wanted to show it. Because she’s so talented, I believe good things will continue to come her way if she stays humble and works hard.”
Regarding the success of ‘Spring‘, Brave Brothers credited Park Bom’s unique voice and the lyrics that resonate with a lot of people as they struggle and wonder if their time will come.
