BoA is officially back, and she’s louder, bolder, and crazier than ever.
On August 4 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), BoA released her 11th studio album, ‘Crazier’, alongside its electrifying title track and music video.
The album, consisting of 11 tracks, is led by the title track ‘Crazier’, a punk-pop song which she wrote and composed. Through the track, BoA delivers an assertive and confident sound packed with gritty guitar riffs and punchy lyrics like “It’s a crazy world / I’ve seen it all / But guess what? / I’m crazier.” Her powerful vocals, combined with a polished performance, capture attention, making it an addictive listen.
The music video of ‘Crazier’ showcases BoA’s rebellious spirit, from strutting down a red carpet with fire in her eyes to dancing through water bombs, echoing the confidence and freedom that define this new era.
Additionally, BoA also wrote and composed the B-side tracks, ‘It Takes Two’ and ‘How Could’. Across the 11 songs on the album, she explores various genres, from soulful pop in ‘Healing Generation’ to Brazilian-funk-inspired dance beats in ‘Hit You Up’, showing off new vocal colors she says she’s been waiting to reveal. Other tracks include a tribute to her fans, Jumping BoA, titled ‘Clockwise’, as well as the intense dance-pop tracks ‘Don’t Mind Me’, ‘What She Wants’, and ‘Up And Down’, which reflect emotional ups and downs. ‘Love Like This’ is a pop song with a warm feeling, whereas ‘Like I Like’ is a dance track as lively as a rainbow.
‘Crazier’ is BoA’s first full-length Korean release in five years and marks an incredible 25 years in the industry. She was originally scheduled to hold an anniversary concert on August 30 and 31, but it was canceled after she was diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis, which required surgery and recovery. Following her diagnosis, BoA donated KRW 100 million to the Samsung Seoul Hospital’s Orthopedic Surgery Department to support patients who cannot readily access treatment due to financial burdens.
