BLACKPINK’s Rosé has parted ways with KOMCA.
According to the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), BLACKPINK’s Rosé applied for the termination of her contract on October 31, 2024. After a grace period of three months, her contract was officially concluded on January 31 of this year. Atlantic Records, the U.S.-based label that manages her global activities, is now expected to handle the copyrights for all her works.
KOMCA, a non-profit organization founded in 1964, manages the musical copyrights of South Korean artists and producers. Rosé is the second artist to exit KOMCA, following Seo Taiji who did the same in 2003.
In other updates, BLACKPINK has unveiled the details and schedule for their 2025 world tour, set to begin in Korea this July and wrap up in Tokyo next year. The tour will cover multiple cities, with additional stops expected to be announced soon.
