BLACKPINK’s Lisa graced the 2025 Oscars stage in a Rahul Mishra couture piece for her historic performance.
On March 2, BLACKPINK’s Lisa made history as the first K-pop artist to perform at the prestigious Academy Awards. During her musical tribute to James Bond, she took the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, wearing a striking couture piece by renowned Indian designer Rahul Mishra.
Dressed in a black gown, Lisa wowed the audience with her performance of ‘Live and Let Die,’ the iconic theme song from the 1973 James Bond film of the same name. The intricately embellished bodice and the dramatic thigh-high slit with red-colored inner lining brought a fierce and flawless energy to her performance.
On March 3, Rahul Mishra shared behind-the-scenes moments of the gown’s creation on Instagram, captioning it, “Behind the scenes look at the creation of Look no. 26, the ‘Gaian Genesis’ black tonal leotard from Rahul Mishra’s Spring Couture 2025 collection, ‘The Pale Blue Dot,’ as showcased by Lalisa Manoban for her performance at the 2025 Oscar Awards.”
