BLACKPINK’s Jennie has donated 100 million won to the Seoul National University College of Medicine.
On May 30, Seoul National University College of Medicine announced, “Jennie donated 100 million won [approximately $72,709] to the College of Medicine’s development fund in order to help foster warm-hearted talent that will heal the world.”
Her generous contribution is aimed at supporting the enhancement of the university’s educational and research environment and aiding in the development of future medical professionals with empathy and a strong sense of social responsibility.
Kim Jeong Eun, the dean of the Seoul National University College of Medicine, expressed appreciation for Jennie’s impactful gesture, stating, “We are grateful to Jennie, who has thoughtfully gone beyond mere financial support by becoming a positive influence. We will help our students grow into leaders with the traits of tolerance, acceptance, empathy, communication, sacrifice, and consideration so that they can live up to the public’s expectations.”
In particular, Jennie’s agency OA (ODDATELIER) made a similar donation in 2023, reinforcing their continued support for medical education and social good.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK announced their 2025 world tour ‘DEADLINE’, which will cover 16 cities and is scheduled to kick off in South Korea at Goyang Stadium on July 5 and 6. The group is also gearing up for a comeback.
As fans continue to show pride in Jennie’s artistry, many are also applauding her for making a tangible difference in the lives of future healthcare professionals and the communities they will serve.
