BLACKPINK is reportedly preparing for their long-awaited comeback later this year.
On August 11, a music industry insider revealed that the group is preparing to release a new mini-album in November. According to the insider, BLACKPINK has already completed their album jacket photo shoot and is expected to wrap up the recording of their new songs and all other production work within the next two months.
The insider stated, “BLACKPINK has to release an album within the year. The original goal was to release it in October, but the schedule has been changed. They plan to release it in November and, if possible, perform on stage.”
In response to the reports, the agency YG Entertainment commented, “We will announce it later through official promotions.”
If confirmed, the comeback will mark BLACKPINK’s first full-group album release since ‘BORN PINK’ in September 2022. Previously, the group celebrated their 9th anniversary with the release of their digital single ‘JUMP’ on July 11, which topped both Korean and international charts.
Currently, BLACKPINK is in the middle of their ‘DEADLINE’ world tour, featuring 31 concerts across 16 cities. The tour kicked off at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea and the group is now gearing up to perform at Wembley Stadium in London this week.
