BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON has been appointed as the promotional ambassador for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit!
On July 23, South Korea’s Prime Minister Kim Min Seok announced via Instagram that G-DRAGON is the promotional ambassador for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. Tagging the artist in his post, he wrote, “We are appointing G-Dragon, one of South Korea’s leading artists who has consistently shown creativity and innovation, including transmitting music into space, as the promotional ambassador for the APEC South Korea 2025 in Gyeongju.”
He further added, “With 100 days left until the summit, I hope you will follow the synergy between G-Dragon and the APEC summit starting today.”

APEC 2025 Korea will be held at Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang from October 31 to November 1. Around 20 world economic leaders are expected to attend the summit, which is themed ‘Building a Sustainable Tomorrow : Connect, Innovate, Prosper.’
G-DRAGON recently released ‘Übermensch,’ his first album in seven years. The album has been charting on multiple platforms and is being well-received by fans worldwide. He is currently in the midst of Phase 2 and 3 of his world tour, named after the album.
