The much-anticipated All India K-POP Contest 2024 is set to ignite the city of Bengaluru with a dazzling display of K-Pop talent.
Organized by the Korean Cultural Centre India in collaboration with LG Electronics India, the event will feature a special performance by K-pop sensation Aoora, who will announce his new song ‘Thi Thi Thara‘. Aoora’s 25-minute opening performance will include hits such as ‘Feel The Power,’ ‘Love Is Right,’ ‘Jimmy Jimmy,’ ‘Dreamers,’ and ‘Auva Auva.’
This year’s contest marks the 14th edition of the event, which has grown to become a flagship project for the Korean Cultural Centre India. With 10,559 registrations from across the country, it is the largest K-pop contest in India.

The ‘All India K-POP Contest 2024’ is held pan-India over about six months with four rounds; online, regional, semi-finale, and grand finale. The online qualifiers round was held from May 17th to June 28th, and in this round K-pop participants from across the country shared an online video of their performance, which was evaluated based on certain parameters, such as skill, expression, and pronunciation, similarity to the original song, and stage presence of the participants. The selected participants from online preliminaries will showcase their skills in the regional round to be held in 11 cities.
Bengaluru will kickstart the regional round on Saturday, with 74 participants showing their exceptional skills through 15 dance and 15 vocal performances. The winner of each of these groups will move on to the semi-final round to be held in New Delhi on October 19th, 2024.
Following Bengaluru, the regional rounds will continue across 11 cities including, Kohima (July 28th), Kolkata (August 3rd), Itanagar (August 10th), Mumbai (August 10th), Chennai (August 11th), Hyderabad (August 18th), New Delhi (August 18th), Ahmedabad (August 25th), Bhopal (September 1st), and Lucknow (September 1st). More than 300 participants are expected to showcase their talent in the regional rounds that span across India. The grand finale of the ‘All India K-POP Contest 2024 presented by LG’ will be held at the state-of-the-art exhibition and convention center, ‘Yashobhoomi‘, in New Delhi on November 23rd, 2024. The grand prize includes a special opportunity for the winners to visit Korea.
As Bengaluru sets the stage for this year’s K-Pop extravaganza, the countdown to a thrilling competition and an unforgettable finale has officially begun.
