aespa Drops The Teaser Image For Their Debut Japanese Single, ‘Hot Mess’

On June 9, midnight, aespa unveiled the teaser images for their official Japanese debut single, ‘Hot Mess’. The Japanese single includes three tracks — ‘Hot Mess’, ‘Sun and Moon’, and ‘Zoom Zoom’.

The title track ‘Hot Mess’ is a high-energy dance song with a distinctive saxophone sound and intense rap, delivering a powerful message of self-empowerment with lyrics proclaiming, “I live my life my way.” Another track on the album, ‘Sun and Moon’, is a smooth R&B song with lyrics envisioning a hopeful future together, whereas ‘Zoom Zoom’, which has an upbeat and energetic vibe, was previously released as the ending theme for the TV Tokyo animation Beyblade X.

The group is currently preparing to embark on their second world tour, ‘2024 Aespa Live Tour – SYNK : Parallel Line’. Starting on June 29, they will perform for two consecutive nights at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium.

aespa is a four-member girl group under SM Entertainment, consisting of Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing. The group made their debut on November 17, 2020, with the digital single ‘Black Mamba’. They recently released their first full-length album titled ‘ARMAGEDDON,’ which includes the double title tracks ‘Supernova’ and ‘Armageddon’.

The debut single is scheduled for release on July 3 at 12:00 AM KST (8:30 PM IST).
