Actor Kim Min Jae has officially completed his mandatory military service.
On March 17, YAMYAM Entertainment confirmed that Kim Min Jae completed his 18-month service and returned as a civilian. The actor enlisted in September 2023, serving as an active-duty soldier in the army’s military band. During his five-week basic training, he stood out as an elite trainee, showcasing his dedication and discipline.

Following his discharge, Kim Min Jae shared a heartfelt message through his agency, expressing gratitude to fans who patiently waited for him. “Thank you to all the fans who waited for me. I missed you so much,” he said. He also reflected on his time in the military, calling it a meaningful experience that taught him valuable lessons. “My military service gave me valuable experiences and taught me a lot. Since you’ve been waiting, I’ll repay your support by staying even busier with various activities,” he added.
To celebrate his return, a special live broadcast commemorating his discharge was held at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST) via Instagram Live on his Instagram account, allowing fans to reconnect with him.

Kim Min Jae, who debuted in 2014, has impressed with roles in dramas like ‘Dr. Romantic,’ ‘Tempted,’ ‘Dali and the Cocky Prince,’ and ‘Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist.’ Before enlisting, he wrapped up ‘Dr. Romantic 3,’ his final project before military service.
Now that his military service is complete, fans are excited to see him back in action.
