EXO’s Chen is all set to make his solo debut next month.
On 19th March, it was confirmed that Chen will be making a solo debut with his 1st mini album ‘April, and a flower’ on 1st April at 6pm KST. The solo debut was confirmed with two teaser images and a website was also launched.
On 21st March, the idol revealed a detailed teaser schedule for his upcoming solo debut.
As mentioned in the schedule, the tracklist for the mini album was released on 22nd March. It consists of 6 tracks, ‘Flower’, title track ‘Beautiful Goodbye’, ‘Sorry not sorry’, ‘Love words’, ‘I’ll be there’, and ‘Portrait of you’. Chen participated in writing the lyrics for b-side track ‘Flower’.
On 25th and 26th March, the idol dropped 2 sets of teaser images at midnight KST.
On 27th March, at midnight KST, more teaser images for the upcoming solo debut were released. Also, on the same day at 6pm KST, the first highlight medley for songs ‘Beautiful Goodbye’, ‘I’ll be there’, and ‘Portrait of you’ was also dropped. Chen sang the snippet of the songs live, while the piano was played by Kim Jae Hwi. Check out the teaser images and the first highlight medley below –
On 28th March at midnight KST, the fourth set of teaser images were unveiled. Just like the previous day, the second highlight medley for songs ‘Sorry not sorry’, ‘Flower’, and ‘Love words’ was dropped at 6pm KST. Check them out below –
On 29th March, the fifth set of teaser images along with the music video teaser for title track ‘Beautiful Goodbye’ were released at midnight KST and 6pm KST respectively.
