Actor Lee Jong Suk will be enlisting for his mandatory national service on 8th March!
The actor will be enlisted as a public service agent as he was deemed unfit to be an active duty soldier. The assignment as a public service agent by the Military Manpower Administration is mainly due to the actor having been in a car accident when he was sixteen resulting in a ruptured ligament (ACL – anterior cruciate ligament). He will be discharged on 2nd January, 2021.
Lee Jong Suk is a lead role in the currently airing drama ‘Romance Is a Bonus Book‘ which wrapped up shooting yesterday (27th February). His co-star Lee Na Young sent a food truck to the set of their drama with a sweet message cheering him on prepared as a surprise gift ahead of his mandatory enlistment.
The actress’ message read – “Eun Ho [Lee Jong Suk’s character in the drama], when spring, summer, autumn, and winter have each passed twice, a season with a beautiful moon will come. Be healthy!”
She also signed off as “Dani Dani” who is her character’s name in the drama.
Lee Jong Suk took to his official Instagram account to express his gratitude with a picture of Lee Na Young’s gift captioned – “Thank you so much, noona… this is the first time I’ve ever received a food truck from a co-star. My favorite number is 2 (Lee) Na 0 (Young).”
