SEVENTEEN’s JEONGHAN X JOSHUA make their surreal unit debut!
On October 19, JxJ made their highly anticipated unit debut with their first mini-album, titled ‘DREAMSCAPE’, marking JEONGHAN’s first release since completing his military service and JOSHUA’s first unit project.
Built around the meeting of fantasy and reality, ‘DREAMSCAPE’ features seven tracks that explore both dreams experienced during sleep and aspirations pursued in everyday life. The album presents these two dimensions as interconnected worlds, inviting listeners to discover the stories and metaphors woven throughout its music.
The title track, ‘12 o’clock’, is a dance-rock track that reinterprets the sounds of 1970s and 1980s disco and funk. Blending nostalgic influences with the duo’s mellow, emotive vocals, the song follows their search for ‘you’ within a dream as they move between noon and midnight.
Following the release, the duo will embark on the JEONGHAN X JOSHUA JOURNEY INTO ‘DREAMING’ tour, spanning across six cities, starting at Incheon’s Inspire Arena on October 30.
With its dreamlike visuals and retro-inspired sound, JxJ’s debut opens a new chapter for the SEVENTEEN members, bringing their individual vocal colours together in a shared musical landscape.
