Stray Kids’ Felix is set to showcase the beauty of Korean traditional fashion on a global stage!
On June 17 KST, South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced Felix as the cultural artist for the ‘2026 Hanbok Wave’ project, an initiative that promotes Korean hanbok brands through collaborations between leading cultural figures and local hanbok designers.
Organized in partnership with the Korea Craft & Design Foundation (KCDF), the project supports the development of new hanbok products while expanding global awareness of Korea’s traditional attire and fashion industry.
Now in its seventh year, ‘Hanbok Wave’ has previously collaborated with notable cultural figures including former Olympic figure skater Kim Yuna, singer and actress Suzy, actress Kim Tae Ri, and actor Park Bo Gum, highlighting the modern appeal and cultural significance of hanbok.
As part of this year’s project, five selected domestic hanbok brands will collaborate with Felix to create designs inspired by his image and artistic identity. The completed works will be featured in pictorials, promotional content, and digital billboards across major cities including Seoul, New York, Paris, and Milan.
Jeong Hyang Mi, Director-General of Culture and Arts Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the project with Felix is intended to promote hanbok as a fashion item that fans around the world aspire to wear.
With Felix’s growing global influence, his participation is expected to introduce hanbok to a new generation of international fans while celebrating the richness of Korean culture.
