Netflix and BTS unveil the official trailer for ‘BTS: THE RETURN’ documentary!
On March 17, BTS offered a compiled preview of their upcoming documentary, ‘BTS: THE RETURN’. The trailer provides a glimpse into the group’s past as they prepare for the release of their upcoming 5th full-length album, ‘ARIRANG’. It features clips from their previous world tour, scenes following their military discharge, and behind-the-scenes footage from songwriting sessions in Los Angeles.

In the trailer, the members share their honest thoughts about their music and the need for change. Reflecting on the fast-moving nature of the journey, they remark, “Trends shift every season. Standing still isn’t an option” and “If we want to change, now is the time to do it.” The members also revisit their beginnings, stating that they are “still country boys from Korea,” reinforcing their grounded identity. Alongside these moments, the documentary will also offer glimpses of their daily lives and reveal how their current experiences are shaping the direction of their upcoming album.
Additionally, the trailer features the traditional Korean folk song ‘Arirang’ adding an emotional depth, along with the narration, “We are finally back where we’re meant to be.” The documentary includes scenes of all seven members collaborating, recording, and filming together, signaling a new chapter for the group. The documentary is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Bao Nguyen, whose Netflix feature ‘The Greatest Night in Pop’ earned a Grammy nomination for Best Music Film and received three Emmy nominations..
‘BTS: THE RETURN’ is set to premiere on March 27 at 8 PM KST (4:30 PM IST), exclusively on Netflix.
