Stray Kids have achieved yet another historic milestone by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the seventh consecutive time!
Billboard announced that Stray Kids’ latest album, ‘KARMA,’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated September 6. The album earned an impressive 313,000 equivalent album units in its first week in the U.S. (the tracking period ending August 28), including a career-high 296,000 in pure album sales. This is the group’s highest sales to date, and also secured them the No. 1 spot on the Top Album Sales chart. That performance not only ranks as the third-biggest debut week of any album in 2025 but also stands as the year’s second-largest sales week.

Billboard highlighted, “Stray Kids are the only act in history to send each of their first seven entries on the Billboard 200 straight to No. 1, beginning with 2022’s ‘ODDINARY’.” With this achievement, Stray Kids have become the first act in the chart’s 69-year history to debut at the top with their first six releases, and now they’ve pushed that streak to seven.
With this seventh chart-topper, Stray Kids have surpassed BTS, Linkin Park, and Dave Matthews Band for the most No. 1 albums by a group since 2000. As a primarily Korean-language release, ‘KARMA’ becomes the 29th mostly non-English album to top the Billboard 200 and only the second of 2025. Of those 29 non-English chart-toppers, 19 have been Korean, underscoring K-pop’s enduring global impact.
Billboard Korea also highlighted the achievement, stating, “Adding to the celebrations, Stray Kids have also been nominated in two categories at the 2025 MTV VMAs: Best Group and Best K-Pop.” The news was also shared by J.Y. Park on his official social media accounts.
Congratulations to the group!
