Pledis Entertainment and the film distributor D Station have announced that the Chinese action film ‘The Shadow’s Edge’, starring SEVENTEEN’s Jun, will officially be released in Korean theaters.
‘The Shadow’s Edge’, starring legendary actors Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka Fai, follows the story of a retired police officer drawn back into action to take down a powerful criminal syndicate. Jun plays the role of Hu Feng, a member of the criminal gang, delivering intense boxing-based action scenes
‘The Shadow’s Edge’, already making a blockbuster impact, drew over 6.3 million views in just two days after its release in China. The project also garnered international attention when presented at the Cannes Film Market earlier this year. The film, which has already premiered in countries including Italy, Singapore, and Indonesia, is also set to release in the U.S., Canada, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
Jun, who first debuted as a child actor in ‘The Pye Dog’ (2007), has continued to expand his acting career alongside his K-pop idol activities. His 2023 Chinese drama, ‘Exclusive Fairytale’, also earned him two awards at the Busan International Film Festival. Fans are eagerly anticipating his performance in the film.
‘The Shadow’s Edge’ will premiere on September 20 in Korea.
