BLACKPINK’s LISA drops a stunning short film MV for a B-side track from her debut album.
On August 14, LISA released a soulful, cinematic short film for her song ‘DREAM’, one of the tracks from her debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’. Directed by Ojun Kwon, ‘DREAM’ offers a departure from LISA’s usual pop vibe, focusing on intimate, slow-burning storytelling. The MV also features Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi.
The music video follows LISA and Kentaro Sakaguchi, who plays her husband, beginning with a mournful glimpse of a funeral before taking viewers on a sentimental drive down memory lane. With its warm-toned palette and serene lakeside farewell, the short film sets the mood for a ballad. Portraying love, loss, and heartbreak, it is both raw and deeply moving.
With poetic visuals, quiet emotional intensity, and undeniable chemistry between LISA and Kentaro, ‘DREAM’ leaves viewers in a lingering state of stillness, like a love letter not spoken in words but felt in every frame.
‘Alter Ego’, LISA’s debut solo album, was released earlier this year on February 28. The album topped the Top Album Sales chart and achieved a Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200. She also earned a nomination for Best K-pop at the MTV VMAs for the song ‘Born Again’, featuring Doja Cat and RAYE, from ‘Alter Ego’.
