The company’s official statement reads:
Hello, this is ONE HUNDRED.
As soon as we were informed of issues involving Ju Haknyeon’s private life, our company immediately suspended his activities and took time to thoroughly verify the facts.
As a result, we have come to recognize the seriousness of this issue and have clearly determined that it is no longer possible for us to maintain the trust in him as an artist. After sufficient discussions with the members of THE BOYZ, we have made the final decision for Ju Haknyeon to depart the team and to terminate his exclusive contract.
We ask for your deep understanding as this decision was an unavoidable measure to protect the members and the team. We would like to inform you that, as of today, Ju Haknyeon will cease all activities as a member of THE BOYZ.
ONE HUNDRED will do our utmost to support the remaining members of THE BOYZ so that they can continue their activities in a stable and healthy environment.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for causing concern to the fans, and we will do our best to repay your support with better news and activities in the future.

From ONE HUNDRED
ONE HUNDRED apologized for causing concern to fans and asked for their understanding. Additionally, the label affirmed its commitment to fully supporting the remaining members of THE BOYZ, aiming to help them continue their activities in a stable and healthy environment.
The news comes shortly after Haknyeon’s temporary hiatus from the group was announced on June 16. The agency did not provide a clear reason for either the hiatus or his departure. However, earlier today, Korean media reported that Japanese outlet Shūkan Bunshun had sent a letter of inquiry to ONE HUNDRED regarding Haknyeon’s alleged meeting with a former Japanese AV actress in May. The agency reportedly confirmed the report.
Ju Haknyeon first debuted with THE BOYZ in December 2017 with the EP ‘THE FIRST’. Recently, the group made a comeback with their third studio album ‘Unexpected’.
