KBS2 unveils an official teaser and new stills for its upcoming drama ‘The First Night with the Duke.’
On May 16, KBS2 released the first teaser and new character stills for its upcoming drama ‘The First Night with the Duke.’ The fantasy-romance drama follows a college student, K, whose soul is unexpectedly transported into the body of a minor character in her favorite romance novel. Upon waking up in the fictional world, she soon finds herself entangled with the novel’s obsessive male lead.

The humorous teaser opens with the moment K realizes she is now inhabiting the body of Cha Sun Chaek, played by Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun. Although initially confused, she quickly becomes more excited by the appearance of the novel’s male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’s Taecyeon), than concerned about her strange situation.
Things escalate quickly when she impulsively kisses Yi Beon, leaving him shocked. After spending the night together, he demands accountability, stating, “The crime of plotting to seduce a member of the royal family and steal his virginity: this is treason.”
K, who was simply trying to enjoy life inside her favorite novel’s fantasy world, now faces a dilemma. She’s caught in a life-or-death situation and tries to escape by using disguises and fooling Yi Beon, but nothing goes her way. “To die or to get married, that is truly the question,” she muses.
In addition to the teaser, KBS2 had earlier released the teaser poster, main poster, and character posters.

‘The First Night with the Duke’ will premiere on June 11 at 9:50 PM KST (6:20 PM IST) on KBS2 and will air every Wednesday and Thursday.
