On March 19 at midnight KST, BTS’ j-hope unveiled the teaser for his highly anticipated music video ‘MONA LISA.’ The clip transports viewers to a contemporary art museum, where j-hope sits alone on a rectangular bench, seemingly waiting for someone. As the distant sound of high heels grows louder, he looks up in anticipation. Just as he stands, a mysterious figure approaches and playfully smears a dollop of whipped cream on his cheek before walking away—leaving fans intrigued about the full storyline.
Previously, BIGHIT MUSIC described ‘MONA LISA’ as a “hip-hop and R&B track that celebrates a captivating person by playfully comparing them to the iconic masterpiece “Mona Lisa,” which has charmed the world for centuries. Through this song, j-hope conveys that true allure lies not in one’s external beauty but in the unique qualities that make the person special.”
The sound design teases a smooth R&B groove with rhythmic beats, hinting at a song that’s both soulful and dynamic. Set in an art museum that complements the song’s theme, the video promises a visually stunning and sonically immersive experience, featuring j-hope’s refined rapping and commanding presence.
The teaser exudes charisma, artistic vision, and a message of self-expression, setting the stage for what promises to be another iconic release from j-hope.
‘MONA LISA’ will be released on March 21 at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST).
