Solo artist Wheesung passes away at 43.
On March 10, South Korean singer and songwriter Wheesung was found deceased at his home. His agency confirmed the news through an official statement, sharing, “On March 10, our beloved artist Wheesung passed away. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was subsequently pronounced deceased.”
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
“This is Tajoy Entertainment, the agency of singer Wheesung.
We are deeply sorry to share such heartbreaking and tragic news.
On March 10, our beloved artist Wheesung passed away. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The sudden loss has left his family, fellow artists at Tajoy Entertainment, and our entire staff in profound grief.
It pains us deeply to deliver this devastating news to the fans who have always supported and loved Wheesung. We ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers so that he may rest peacefully.
Details regarding funeral arrangements will be announced separately.
During this difficult time, we sincerely ask for restraint from unverified rumors or speculative reports out of respect for his bereaved family.

As per reports, the singer was scheduled to meet his manager earlier in the day but was unreachable. His mother, who resides in the same building, went to check on him, found him unresponsive, and called emergency services.
According to his agency and the police, emergency responders discovered the singer unconscious in his apartment at approximately 6:29 PM KST (2:59 PM IST). Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, but so far, no foul play is suspected.
Born on February 5, 1982, Choi Whee Sung began his career in 1997 as a member of the dance team ING. In 2000, he signed with M Boat, a former sister company of YG Entertainment, and released his first solo album, ‘LIKE A MOVIE,’ in 2002. The album gained significant popularity, marking the beginning of his successful solo career.
