The upcoming drama ‘Show Business’ has finally confirmed its star-studded cast!
On February 10, Netflix Korea revealed the cast for the upcoming drama ‘Show Business’ (working title) on social media. The drama began filming last month and stars Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo in the lead roles. Joining the cast alongside them are Lee Ha Nee, Cha Seung Won, and Seolhyun.

The drama, previously referred to as ‘Slowly but Intensely,’ is set against the backdrop of the Korean entertainment industry in the 1960s and 1980s. It follows people who, despite having humble beginnings, pursue their dreams of success.
Song Hye Kyo portrays Min Ja, a strong woman determined to make it in the music industry despite a difficult upbringing. Gong Yoo plays Dong Gu, Min Ja’s loyal childhood friend who follows her into the entertainment business. Seolhyun takes on the role of Min Hui, who shares a complex love-hate relationship with Min Ja. Lee Ha Nee portrays Yang Ja, Min Hui’s mother, who is fiercely determined to make her dream of becoming a singer a reality. Gil Yeo, a renowned composer and influential person in the music industry, is portrayed by Seung Won.
The drama has been penned by acclaimed writer Noh Hee Kyung and helmed by renowned director Lee Yoon Jung. The release date is yet to be announced.
