The achievement marks a major milestone for Rosé, as she becomes the first female K-Pop artist, including groups, to achieve a BRIT platinum certification. Meanwhile, ‘APT.’ has set a new record as the fastest song by a K-Pop act to go platinum in the United Kingdom, reaching the milestone in less than four months. BTS previously held the record for their song ‘Dynamite,’ which achieved platinum certification a year after its release.
Rosé is also just the third K-Pop artist to hold platinum status in the UK. The other artists are PSY for his global phenomenon ‘Gangnam Style’ and BTS for ‘Dynamite’ and ‘My Universe,’ their collaboration with Coldplay.
