YG Entertainment has announced the termination of its actor management.
On January 17, YG Entertainment confirmed that they will be closing their actor management wing to focus on their core business, music.
In a statement, YG shared, “We sincerely thank all the actors who have been with us and fans who have shown them so much love. We will spare no effort in providing the necessary support until the very end.”
With this, the YG will bid adieu to their entire roster of actors including Cha Seung Won, Yoo In Na, Claudia Kim, Lee Sung Kyung, Jang Ki Yong, Lee Soo Hyuk, Han Seung Yeon, Son Na Eun, and more.
On the music front, YG Entertainment started shifting focus to its core business early last year, absorbing YGX into its Global Training Center and growing its production team to 50 members. Additionally, it is also reported that YGE is planning major projects for BLACKPINK‘s 2025 comeback and world tour. Meanwhile, artists like BABYMONSTER and 2NE1 are expected to take on more activities in the coming year.
