HWON has officially departed from The KingDom.
On January 17, GF Entertainment officially announced that member HWON had concluded his activities with the group due to personal reasons. The agency made the announcement on the group’s fan cafe, asked for the fans’ understanding, and apologized for causing concern with the sudden news. “We kindly request for your continued support for HWON and The KingDom in the future,” the agency stated.
HWON has been on hiatus since September 30, 2024, due to health reasons, and the group has been promoting with six members since then.
HWON was introduced as the newest member of The KingDom in August 2022 following the departure of Chiwoo. He made his debut with the group’s fifth EP, ‘History of Kingdom: Part V. Louis’ and its lead single, ‘Long Live the King’.
The news of his departure has come as a shock to fans, who have been eagerly following the group’s journey. As The KingDom moves forward, fans are left wondering what this change means for the group’s music and dynamic.
