EXO’s Baekhyun is making his return to variety television!
On December 28, a Korean media outlet reported that EXO’s Baekhyun is joining the cast of TVING’s original variety show ‘The Great Escape: Reboot’. Fans are excited to see him take on this show, as it’s his first variety show after a hiatus. They are looking forward to seeing his humor, charm, and teamwork in the show.
‘The Great Escape’ is a reality show featuring large-scale themed escape rooms. It is known for its exciting challenges, detailed sets, and great storytelling. Since its inception in 2018, it has become popular with viewers over four successful seasons. However, production stopped in 2022 after director Jung Jong Yeon left CJ ENM, and joined Kim Tae Ho’s production company, TEO, and launched the Netflix variety show ‘The Devil’s Plan’.
‘The Great Escape: Reboot’ will be helmed by Lee Woo Hyung, known for shows like ‘Backpacker Chef’ and ‘Genius Restaurant Paik’ series on tvN.
Baekhyun’s last variety show appearance as a regular cast member was in ‘EXO’s Ladder Season 4’ in 2023. Most recently, he was seen on ‘The Seasons: Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow’. Earlier this year, Baekhyun made a comeback with his fourth mini-album, ‘Hello, World’. With his return to the variety show scene and music, fans are excited to see what Baekhyun will do next in this new part of his journey.
