Kim Tae Ri is set to spread the beauty of Hanbok globally!
Actress Kim Tae Ri has been announced as the face of the ‘Hanbok Wave‘ project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation. As part of the project, Kim Tae Ri adorned the hanbok and shot content that brought out the charm of the traditional garment and Korean culture.

It has been announced that Kim Tae Ri’s photo shoot will be featured on the digital billboard displays of Citadium Caumartin in Paris, France, from December 23-29 and at New York’s Times Square on December 24 as part of the project. It will also be displayed at the Gwanghwamun K-Culture Screen, Korea from December 23-31.
The hanbok pictorial, which adds the beauty of hanbok to the charm of actress Kim Tae Ri, will be featured in the January 2025 issue of Marie Claire Korea, set to be released on Saturday, December 21.

Four domestic hanbok brands— Leesle, Sheen:Seoul, OUWR, and Hyeon—were selected through an open competition to develop and design the hanbok, and they collaborated with actress Kim Tae Ri to present hanbok with a modern sensibility while preserving traditional style.
The newly designed hanbok will also be displayed at an exhibition titled ‘2024 Hanbok Wave Exhibition: ‘Graceful Lines, Dignified Presence‘ at the Culture Station Seoul 284 (former Seoul Station) in Jung District, central Seoul. The display will be held from January 15 to February 11, 2025.
The ‘Hanbok Wave’ project began in 2020. Through the coming together of traditional hanbok makers and Hallyu stars, the project aims to bring the hanbok to global platforms.
