ROSÉ opens up about her heartbreak journey in ‘rosie’.
BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ has officially released her much-anticipated first full-length album, ‘rosie’. As the singer expressed, the album reflects her emotions over the past few years, offering a glimpse into the experiences and stories she wasn’t able to share until now. The themes will resonate with anyone in their 20s, and ROSÉ hopes this album will allow her fans to connect with her on a deeper level.
The album comprises 12 tracks, including the title track, ‘toxic till the end,‘ where she powerfully conveys the turmoil of a love-hate relationship. The music video intensifies the emotion, bringing the story to life with her strong vocals.
Other tracks on the album include ‘number one girl’, ‘3am’, ‘two years’, ’drinks or coffee’, ‘APT. (ROSÉ & Bruno Mars),’ ‘gameboy’, ‘stay a little longer’, ‘not the same’, ‘call it the end’, ‘too bad for us’ and ‘dance all night‘. When listened to in order, the tracks tell a cohesive story of a rollercoaster of emotions while dealing with heartbreak, with her distinctive vocals adding to the emotional depth of the experience.
ROSÉ participated in writing the lyrics for all the tracks on the album, expressing the raw emotions and vulnerability she felt during her heartbreak, which adds a deeper layer of meaning to the album.
