BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s exclusive contract with YG Entertainment has officially expired.
On June 6, YG Entertainment announced, “G-Dragon’s exclusive contract with us has expired but we are collaborating with him through a separate contract for his other activities such as advertisement, etc. There will be discussions regarding additional contracts if he resumes his music activities. We will spare no effort to provide support for this.”
As per the agency, G-Dragon is currently still in talks with YG Entertainment. It may be mentioned that BIGBANG fellow members Taeyang, Daesang and T.O.P have officially parted ways from YG Entertainment after their contracts expired in 2022. Moreover, T.O.P and Seungri have departed from the group.
Earlier in January, G-Dragon stated through his official YouTube channel, “I’ll be returning with various activities this year. I’m preparing an album too. I’ll make this a year when I bring some good news.”
Fans are thus expecting him to make a comeback soon.
