BTS’ RM will serve as the public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense’ remaining investigation team.
On 31st May KST, a source from K-media reported that the Ministry of National Defense’ Remains Investigation Team will officially appoint Kim Namjoon aka RM as a public relations ambassador.
On June 1st, 1pm KST, RM got appointed officially as an ambassador for the ministry of defense’s remains investigation team.
The Ministry of National Defence Remains Excavation and Investigation Team locates and returns the remains of fallen Korean War servicemen to their families. RM will participate in publicity activities to inform the public of the remains excavation project in various ways.
RM had stated last year that,
“After debuting as a singer, he felt a heavy sense of responsibility both socially and globally.”
BTS as a group, as well as the members, have been exerting a ‘good influence’ by voicing their voices on various social issues such as racism and violence, to name a few.
The current initiative/involvement of the BTS leader brings no surprise to the fandom as he has always been known to be passionate to do his bit for society. The operations of the remains excavation team, transmit a message of harmony on a humanitarian level beyond disputes and conflicts.
