Former member of B.A.P Bang Yongguk is all set to release a new solo single ‘Hikikomori’ on 20th January
at 6pm KST. ‘Hikikomori’ is a Japanese term that describes reclusive adults who completely withdraw from social life. Yongguk released a music video teaser for his new single and showed his confidence as a solo artist.
The teaser released is even more impressive as it was personally planned and designed by Yongguk himself. In the teaser, he is standing on stage with a blindfold on and is receiving cheers from the audience, he then removes the blindfold while exiting the stage and goes to the backstage which is calm.
The teaser images for the single have previously been released through his personal Instagram, implying the message of ‘Hikikomori’, a song that contains keywords such as loneliness, confusion and depression of young people in their 20s. Each teaser image shows a lonely person curled up in a room with confused eyes and a scene in a congested place where the person is lost in his/her thoughts.
