YG Entertainment’s highly anticipated girl group ‘BABY MONSTER’ is scheduled to drop a pre-release track ahead of its debut!
On May 13, midnight KST, BABY MONSTER released a poster along with dates for their pre-debut single titled “DREAM.”
The final lineup for the group was confirmed on May 12 by Yang Hyun Suk, YG Entertainment’s creator, on “Last Evaluation,” a Korean reality show available on YouTube.
Initially, BABYMONSTER consisted of Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, Pharita, and Haram. Trainees Rora and Asa, whom fans were expecting to debut with the group, were not included. Yang Hyun Suk explained that he had other plans for them such as debuting Rora in YG’s next girl group and Asa’s participation in Japan for another girl group.
Although this shocked the fans, towards the end of the video he explained that YG Entertainment isn’t just about the artists, but fans have an important role to play as well. Considering everyone’s opinions he said “I will take all seven with me.”
BABY MONSTER will debut as a 7 piece group! He also mentioned that there are plans to debut them by fall 2023.
After BLACKPINK, BABY MONSTER is YG Entertainment’s first girl group in seven years. The sudden announcement has fans gripped for the release of their track!
DREAM is scheduled for release on May 14, midnight KST.
