Followed by the release of the debut EP, rockstar LØREN dropped a music video for the track ‘Panic’ on April 7, 2023. The track was part of his debut EP, Put Up a Fight, a project that took the rockstar years of effort to realize.
True to its intention, the EP received rave reviews from Billboard, Associated Press, StyleCaster, and many rock fans. Along with the release of the music video the rockstar also announced his performance at Coachella on Sunday, April 16. In one of the interviews with Variety, the rockstar mentions the current situation of rock in South Korea and his intention to resist this trend. The rockstar’s love and enthusiasm for rock could definitely be felt from Put Up a Fight as the rockstar says that despite being aware of his loss, he refuses to go down peacefully without a fight.
Coming back to ‘Panic,’ the music video was released after the gloomy yet impactful title track ‘Folks’ and gives a pop-punk vibe reminiscent of the 90’s rock music as the band plays in the video and the singer shouts their angst with a guitar in hand, cut to shots of him inside a car. The entire credit for the lyrics, composition as well as playing instruments, goes entirely to the talented rockstar. In a comment regarding the inspiration for the video, LØREN explains the personal connection he feels with the song as well as his excitement with the release of the music video. He also mentions his friends that took part in the shooting and helped him make it more memorable.
LØREN recently had his first ever U.S. performance at SXSW 2023, bringing his rock energy to the stage, earning him the moniker of “20 Best Acts We Saw at SXSW 2023” by Paste Magazine. Commemorating the release of his EP with 88rising, the rockstar would head to California to rock the stage at Coachella on Sunday, April 16. With that not being enough, LØREN would also perform at the 88rising’s Head in the Clouds festival, taking place on May 20-21 in New York City.
